Blue Xmas

Löysin paikallisesta Suomalaisesta ihanan vintagejoulukuvalehtiön. Tämä We Love Vintage -haaste on just passeli, pääsin heti puuhaamaan siitä lehtiöstä yhden joulukortin.
Kuva on Reprintin, mutta sininen taustapaperi ja koristekuvat on siitä setistä. Hauska vanhanaikainen paperipidike on Live and Love Craftsistä.

I found gorgeous vintage Xmas die cut block in our local book shop. This We Love Vintage's challenge was just perfect for me, I got to use these new stuff from that block!
Image is Reprint's, but the blue background paper and die cut embellishment pictures are from that block. Nice old fashioned paper clip is from Live and Love Crafts.

Blue winter

Vaikka mä odotan jo kovasti kevättä niin talvisia kortteja on kiva tehdä. Inspiraation tähän sain Sandylta joka tekee aivan upeita vintagekortteja.
Pion Designin ja Maja Designin paperit ja kivat pahvipillit on hänen kaupasta Live and Love Craftsista. Jääpuikkostanssi on Joy!n.

Even I desperately wait for the spring already I still like making winter cards. I got the inspiration for this from Sandy who makes absolutely gorgeous vintage cards.

Valentine's card to my daughter

Mun sydänkäpyseni on tämän kevään oppilasvaihdossa (törkeen kaukana!) Singaporessa joten mä tein hänelle ystävänpäiväkortin, joka olikin ehtinyt perille jo hyvissä ajoin kun en tiennyt miten kauan posti kulkee sinne asti ;-) Luojan kiitos on keksitty facetime puhelut ja whatsappit ikävää lievittämään :D
Hän ei jaa mun intohimoa romanttiseen vaaleanpunaiseen, lempivärit taitaa olla musta, valkoinen ja harmaa :( Mun mielestä ne on vähän synkät värit, joten mä aina päädyn tekemään sille sinisen ja/tai liilan ;D Mutta ilmeisesti kortti oli kovasti lämmittänyt mieltä siellä kaukana kotoa :'(

My daughter is this spring over 9000 km away in Singapore for student exchange, so I made her this Valentine's card which arrived there a bit early because I didn't know how long the post would take ;-) I'm so happy that we have facetime calls and whatsapps to easy the separation :D
She doesn't share my passion for romantic pink, her favorites are black, white and grey :( A bit gloomy colors if you ask me, so I always end of making her cards with blue and/or lilac ;D But obviously the card was very welcome there when you're so far from home :'(

A Name Day card to my mother

Viime vuonna mun 83v äiti sai nimensä ensimmäistä kertaa nimipäiväkalenteriin. Ja (todella noloa) mä unohdin sen, kun se oli niin nopeasti joulun ja hänen uuden vuoden aaton syntymäpäivän jälkeen! :( Joten tänä vuonna tein kortin valmiiksi hyvissä ajoin :D

A year ago my mother got, at age of 83, her name into the Finnish name calendar for the first time ever. And (embarrassing enough) I forgot it because it was so soon after Xmas and her New Year's Eve birthday! This year I made the card ready in good time :D

Laundry reminder tag

Mä tuppaan aina unohtamaan levittää pyykit kuivumaan kun pesukone on alakerrassa lakannut pyörimästä, joten tein itselleni aiheesta muistutustagin, jonka laitan tarvittaessa ovenkahvaan roikkumaan. En tiedä onko siitä hyötyä, mutta onpahan ainakin yritetty! :D

I always forget to hang the laundry to dry because my washing machine is downstairs and I can't hear when it stops, so I made myself a reminder tag which I will hang on the door handle to remind me. Don't know if it works but at least I've tried! :D
